Really nice handwriting!

Just wanted to share last week’s parsha copywork, which I don’t usually do, because her English handwriting seems to have  turned a corner in just the last few weeks.  She asked me to not watch while she did Explode the Code today and when I came to check her answers, they were ALL lowercase! These parsha copywork sheets are all downloadable from my Limudei Kodesh printables page , but I haven’t done this week’s yet, in case you’re looking.  Hopefully, later on tonight. This week’s copywork, for Parshas Ki Seitzei, is now available .

Good Shabbos! Parshas Shoftim, and menu

Parsha narration (out of order, with LOTS of complaining because Elisheva was in the room, but nicely worded and clear once she actually started talking).  Clockwise from top left:  Jewish King in chariot with Torah scrolls, Soldiers who can’t go to war, Wasting a crumpled bag, Killing a calf to atone for a murder. So many complicated themes in this week’s parsha.  I just went with what My First Parsha Reader had to say, even though I know it misses out on a lot.  We also watched the G-dcast, parsha, of course.  Way above their heads, as usual… THE MENU! I’m actually doing SOME of the cooking this week.  More than I have all summer, it seems like.   Here, I’ll show you all my dishes in GREEN and Ted’s in MAROON . Supper Challah Soup w/ kneidlach Chicken and rice (baked on sticky rice with french-fried onions on top – yummy!) Corn storebought Egg Rolls Elisheva – chocolate chip cookies with lentils instead of c...

Devarim/Deuteronomy 16:18-21:9 Once Shmuli decided to start a new club; “We’ll have lots of fun!” he told Clarence and Blub. Blub thought at first they should make up some rules, But Clarence said, “No, those are only for schools!” “Okay,” said Shmuli, “let’s go out and play!” And he brought balls and snacks to share for the day. Well, the next day, Blub came, and Clarence did, too, And Shmuli said, “what do you think we should do?” “Let’s play ball,” said Clarence; “No, eat,” Blub said. So Shmuli went back for a ball and some bread. But his mother said no: “I can’t feed the whole street!” “Oh, no,” said Blub, “But I wanted to eat.” “So we’ll go to the store,” said Shmuli to the guys, “We’ll buy a sweet treat, a Rosh Chodesh surprise.” He had a dollar, and bought chocolate bars, Which they shared sitting down to watch passing cars. The next day, though, he had no money to share; “Well, what can we eat, then?” Blub asked in despair. “I bought the s...
