Lessons learned:
~ At least one of these fabrics MUST be thinner! This bag is strong like ox but won't at all fit in the attached foldy-up-pocket that it is supposed to. And I don't like the bulk at the handles... strong is good, but one thin pretty layer and one thick functional layer would probably be strong enough.
~ Topstitch the gusset sides for a neater look (I may go downstairs and do this later); mine's too rounded at the edges.
~ Press it as I go along - if there's time... and if I haven't serged the thing with woolly nylon, which would melt.

Look how much it holds!
~ Mustard
~ Family tub o' mayo
~ 2l milk
~ Bag o' pretzels
~ 2 boxes of fettuce noodles (no, we're NOT having pasta again tonight!)
~ 2 bottles of ReaLemon
~ 2 tins of Pam spray
There's a bit of fabric left over... I may make a foldy-pouch and just tack it inside the bag somehow... I like the idea of folding the bag neatly rather than crumpling & shoving everything inside willy-nilly (as shown here).
Still, it's nice to flex the sewing muscle from time to time during nap.
Dishes: dirty
Laundry: not finished - of course

BUT I have a new bag!!!
<3>Oh... SUPPER:
Pancakes - of course!
Not sure how proper that is, serving pancakes in "honour" of Pancake Tuesday / Mardi Gras / Shrove Tuesday or anything else you want to call it... but it makes Ted happy and I promised Naomi because all the kids at Mrs. ViKi's were having pancakes this morning and all she had was syrup-dipped cheerios.
