OK, maybe not. Actually, with Marigolds, it's more of a love-hate thing. They're so ridiculously common and smell so horrible.
But apparently, you've got to have them for companion planting, so I may as well start my own and not pay any money for them. Here are 3 varieties - Orange CrackerJack, French Yellow/Gold, French Orange/Yellow which are the start of my experiment in Winter Sowing.

So far, so good! Free soil & free seeds in free cutlery tub (holes sliced in sides and poked in lid). Weather: snowy and cold (-1 today, colder for the rest of the week)... and outside it's going! No mercy for these detestable seeds!
What else is going outside?
Cosmos... salvia... not sure what else just yet!
Supper:
Meatballs
Mashed potatoes
Frozen Corn
Why is there no Idahoan Mashed Potato Flakes stuff in stores anymore? Ted says he hasn't seen it for months. Weird...
