I hoped and prayed for average kids and I treat my kids like they are average. (As I'm sure you know) one of the beautiful things about homeschooling is that I don't have to think about what level my child reads at or does math at or... etc. I also don't have to think about having my child tested for "gifted" so that he can go to a special school or miss regular school to go to gifted classes. With homeschooling, we just live and learn and have a lot of fun doing it!Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16672282003217888057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21153604.post-34865201189639509462011-12-13T23:30:09.020-05:002011-12-13T23:30:09.020-05:00No, you are not. Her whole life, everyone tells me she should do [fill in the blank with whatever the teacher/relative/friend specializes in]. And since she is a pleaser, she is easily stressed by her well wishers.

I should note that if your daughter does have a passion for dance, you should nurture, but not overdo. My mother's passion for art was crushed from too many art classes too soon, so she was cautious about my own gift. She fed my need to draw, but didn't push lessons. She let me make the choice to attend an art focused high school.

Peace and Laughter,
Cristinajugglingpayneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10921293051956441475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21153604.post-49536662802798061782011-12-12T11:34:34.211-05:002011-12-12T11:34:34.211-05:00I would love extraordinarily talentd children. I think it makes life overall more exciting. My husband dreams our daughters will be professional musicians so we etter get started. I just believe its wonderful to have a passion in life.Chanalesingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01407736550421482297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21153604.post-67578985745937659982011-12-12T10:37:11.668-05:002011-12-12T10:37:11.668-05:00Reminds me of what my mom always said: she wanted ...Reminds me of what my mom always said: she wanted brilliant children. My dad, on the other hand, wanted kids who were average. He figured that brilliant children would be much harder to raise.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
